Cangqian Mutton Hot-pot Festival



There is an old saying in China: Eat a sheep in winter, and you won't feel cold at all.  As the weather turns cold, so it is a good choice to eat a hot pot of mutton. “Mutton Hop-pot” in Hangzhou Cangqian is the traditional Chinese food, enjoying a hundred-year history and famous for its mellow sauce and delicious flavor. There is soup that has been cooked for many years. The soup is kept under a certain amount; the pot never dries and the fire never stops. The soup tastes very fantastic, which at the same time establishes mutton pot food culture. Following the latest diet fads of “Eating Culture, Eating Feature, Eating Freshness”, “Mutton Hop-pot” organized three “Mutton Hot-pot Gourmet Festival” in succession, leading a new fashion to eat.
The eighth Festival of Mutton Hot Pot in Cangqian rang up the curtain. For the last twenty days, there were over 100,000 people came here for its famous Taoyangguo. During the festival, there are 29 restaurants in Cangqian serving Taoyangguo. You can choose where you want to go. The festival lasts for a month and you’ve still got time.
Hangzhou Bamboo Shoot Festival
Hangzhou Bamboo Shoot Festival is one of the series activities of China Hangzhou West Lake International Expo. During this period, “Eco-tour of Bamboo Township” is held besides bamboo products exhibition, trade fair, bamboo industry forum etc.

But what is the most attractive? Must be Stewed Bamboo Shoots. Stewed Bamboo Shoots is a traditional Hangzhou dish, which is made from tender bamboo shoots that are unearthed around and the dish is cooked with rich oils and plenty of sugar. The color of the dish is red and bright and it is fresh, tender, refreshing, salty and sweet in flavor. It is such a flavor that is worth tasting more than hundred times.


Another famous dish is Bamboo Shoots soup with fresh and pickled streaky pork. Which is my favorite dish.
